Editorial Policy
1. Our Nature
We publish original essays, long-form analysis, research papers, book/product reviews, and guest contributions. We do NOT publish breaking news, political coverage, celebrity journalism, or sponsored content disguised as editorial.
2. Independence
Charika Magazine is funded by Charika Labs Private Limited. We do NOT accept external advertising, sponsored content, or paid placements. We do NOT take third-party investment. This is deliberate and permanent — it preserves editorial independence. We may promote Charika Labs group brands; such promotion is always disclosed.
3. Editorial Standards
Every piece we publish is original (not plagiarized or AI-generated without disclosure), fact-checked, attributable, and edited for clarity and accuracy.
4. Opinion vs Fact
Opinion pieces are labeled as such. Factual claims are supported with sources or disclaimed when speculative.
5. AI-Assisted Content
We may use AI tools for research, editing, or drafting. Any piece where AI played a substantive role will disclose this. Entirely AI-generated content will be clearly marked.
6. Guest Contributions
Guest contributions are reviewed by our editorial team, governed by the Contributor Agreement, and published with full author attribution. Pitches: editorial@charikamag.com. We do not pay for guest contributions at this stage; contributors retain copyright.
7. Corrections
Material corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with date and description. To report an error: editorial@charikamag.com — subject "Correction Request".
8. Right of Reply
If you are the subject of a published piece and believe it misrepresents you, send your response to editorial@charikamag.com. We will consider publishing substantive, factual, and proportionate responses.
